Redmi Launches Watch 3, Band 2, And Buds 4 Lite In Jubilant Colors

Today Xiaomi launched the high-end smartphones Redmi K60 and the new mid-range smartphone Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed. Three smart wearable devices were also shown on the stage - the Redmi Watch 3 with a large screen, the new Band 2 with a thin and light body and Buds 4 Lite in stylish colors at a low price.

Redmi Watch 3

The new laptop is equipped with a 1.75-inch square AMOLED screen. It measures 341ppi and supports a 60Hz refresh rate, and Redmi says it can reach 600 nits of brightness. The case has flat sides, similar to the current smartphone trend, and has a fixed button on the side.

Redmi Watch 3 offers an always-on display and can have more than 200 different watch faces when the device is on.

Xiaomi has upgraded the Watch 3's battery and it can last 12 days of continuous monitoring of SpO2 (blood oxygen) and heart rate on a single charge. The device is certified for underwater use at 5 ATM and also works with GNSS for accurate tracking in sports.

Speaking of sports, there are 121 different workout modes, and the device has GPS, so it can work independently without the need for a smartphone. However, Bluetooth calls require a phone, and the company has introduced a noise-cancelling microphone to improve call quality.

The price of the Redmi Watch 3 is 499 yuan. It's available in black or white (like ivory), although there are three colored straps for further customization - these cost an additional 69 yuan.

With the launch of this wearable, the lines between smartwatch and smart bracelet are blurring more than ever. Band 2 has a 1.47-inch screen, which is 76% larger than the first Redmi Band. The band itself is 9.99mm thick and weighs 14.9g.

This device doesn't support Bluetooth calling, but it still offers great features for women like blood oxygen measurement and menstrual cycle tracking. There are over 30 training modes and the battery can last six days with heavy use on a single charge, or around 14 days with “normal” use.

The price of Redmi Band 2 is 159 yuan until the end of 2022, after which the price will increase to 169 yuan. Six color options are available to the user: neon green, pink, black, light blue, dark green and white.

Redmi Buds 4 Lite

These headphones are also called Youth in Chinese because they are advertised for young people who like bright colors.

The Buds 4 Lite are equipped with 12mm drivers for deep bass and intelligent noise cancellation on calls. Each bud weighs only 3.9 grams and the set that includes buds + case offers up to 20 hours of autonomy. Other features include Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, which works wonders for instant connection with select Xiaomi devices, and the headphones are IP54 certified for water and dust resistance.

Available in black and white, the Redmi Buds 4 Lite are pretty basic. The most interesting options are orange, in which the buds and body are light, and green, in which only the buds and the inner part of the body are the same color.

The price is 139 yuan by the end of the year. Then it will rise to 149 yuan.
